Woo! We Got a Makeover!

First and foremost I have to give a HUGE thank you to Tathy at Night & Day Designs for this exquisitely beautiful layout she made for us! I hope you all love it as much as I do! I’ve added a few new little quirks to each sidebar. The most notable one is the “Tweet of the Week.” We want to hear YOUR thoughts about Carly and her storyline. Feel free to tweet us (@LWdotnet) your happy, sad, or funny feelings about Carly. At the end of every week we will select a winner and post it on the site the following Monday. We love to hear your thoughts so don’t shy away!

Let’s see, other things…as always there’s a poll in the left sidebar where we also like to hear your opinion, so be sure to vote in that. Another new addition to the sidebar is “Carly Capped.” Chrissie and I both believe you could make a flip book out of Laura’s facial expressions and hand gestures, so this section is dedicated to that and that alone. I also added a section for Carly quotes, I used to do this a few years ago, but kind of got away from it. Well, it’s back from the dead! I will select random Carly quotes from time to time to post in that section. You all are more than welcome to submit your favorite quotes as well! For a little more convenience, I added our Twitter widget in the left sidebar because Chrissie posts direct links to the day’s caps and clips. Just a faster way to get your daily Carly dose. Oh! If you’re looking for a link to browse or purchase Laura’s wine, scroll down just a bit, it’s in the sidebar on the right. I think that’s about it for now. Ch-ch-ch-changes are coming! Hey all! It’s Erin and I just want to extend a huge thank you to Kim for keeping LW.net alive the past several months. With that said, I am happy to now announce that I am back in business and have the amazing C to help me keep LW.net alive and thriving.

We’re working on getting certain parts of the site updated as well as adding new content. Thanks to C, we’ll have daily HD Carly clips and caps to enjoy. I also plan to continue updating the beginning of Laura’s run as Cassie on Guiding Light. I’m also compiling a FCW update as we speak. So lots to look forward to! As always, keep checking back for new updates and appearances.

The Time Has Come…

Sorry if the title of this post sounds a bit morbid or sad, but alas, it is the truth. The day has finally come. I am relinquishing my hold on this beloved site, and turning it over to very capable hands. Kim has graciously agreed to take over the site. So, many thanks are directed towards her for keeping LW.net alive. While I have loved hosting this site, the simple fact is that I’m an adult now and have so much more on my plate than I used to. I’m finishing up college, applying for internships and making my way out into the world, and for that reason I want to give my future my full attention, as corny as it sounds. That doesn’t go without saying that this site has meant everything and more to me over the past two-three years. I started this site because I believed (and still believe) that Laura is not only a tremendous actress, but a wonderful person who deserves all of the support I and her countless number of fans have to offer. Even though I won’t be at the helm anymore so to speak, I hope that this site remains your top resource for all things related to Laura. It has been a fun ride and I have met many great people while hosting this site and for that simple fact, I am eternally grateful. So I thank you all for the past couple of years and please, keep on supporting Laura! Have a great week! GO SAINTS!

Annnnnd we’re back!

Hey guys! I finally was able to get this puppy back online! I hope you all enjoy the new look courtesy of AM2M Designs — I love it! All of the pages are back up, that was the main thing I wanted to get done. I’m working on a new layout for the gallery so that it matches the main site. As for clips & caps, I ran into a problem when my recorder decided to crap out on me. I have *sort of* been able to get clips going, but caps are another story, I’ll have to figure out another way to get those done. In the meantime I have added some new episode stills to the gallery so be sure to check those out.

The main reason I wanted to put the site back online now is because Laura’s got some appearances lining up that you ALL should attend. You can find all of her upcoming appearances in the sidebar to the left. As you can see she’s scheduled a wine tasting in February at her parent’s pancake house in Calabash, NC. If you think you are able to attend, GO, you’ll have a blast! Other things…affiliates, I cleaned them out and left the ones that are still online and updated at least every once in awhile. If you would like to become an affiliate please send an email so we can exchange links. I think that’s about it for now, I’m sure I’ll think of something else later. OH — see…I think I’m going to start posting Laura’s first few months on GL, it’s some seriously great stuff and I think you all should see it. So be on the lookout for that.

GH Caps: May 11-15, Site Progress

Last week’s GH caps are now up in the gallery, links to the albums are below. As for renovation progress, I’m about halfway done. Both archives are designed and up…I just have to continually add files to them. I’m still working on the new layout, oh and the press archive is done but it’s in the same boat as the clip archives, I will continue to add articles to it as well. When it’s all unveiled I most definitely will not have everything added to each respective archive, that’ll be an ongoing process. When the new layout goes up it’ll have links for all three archives, so look for that within the next week.

Site News!

Finally, some site news of the exciting variety! I’m currently putting the site under an intense renovation. Not to worry, the site will remain online throughout the entire makeover. What does this renovation entail you may ask? Well, besides the obvious, which is a new layout, I am retooling a good portion of the site. I’m adding seperate clip archives for both General Hospital and Guiding Light which in addition to their clip archives, Carly and Cassie will have an entire section dedicated to themselves. I will still be posting links to daily GH clips in the forum, they will just point to the clip archive instead of being directly linked. I will also be adding a press archive which will contain articles from Laura’s days on both Guiding Light and General Hospital. Those are the main things, you may see additional quirks and perks pop up as well. I have been contemplating this for awhile, but it’s a big undertaking so I wanted to wait until my college semester was over thus dedicating my full attention to it. In addition to regular site updates, I’ll keep you all informed on my progress. I’m hoping this entire thing doesn’t take more than a week or two at tops. So stay tuned! OH! Don’t forget to tune into The Today Show this Thursday for the announcement of this year’s Daytime Emmy nominations! Keep your fingers and toes crossed for Laura!!

I apologize for the immense lack of updates. I have been working a lot of crazy hours at work and my college semester is coming to an end, graduating though, yay! I will be updating the site this week though. I’m finishing getting caught back up on screencaps and I’ve got new media net pics to put up as well, so look for those in the coming days. New Look, GH Stills, and Affiliates

It was about time for a change of scenery don’t you think? I hope you guys like this look, it’s a little different but I like it a lot. If you experience any difficulties or problems with the new layout, drop me an email and I’ll be sure to get it fixed. For those of you who plan on attending GH’s Fan Club Weekend this coming July, Laura’s event time has been announced. Her event will take place on Friday, July 17, 2009 from 5-8pm. More details and ticket info will follow at a later date so keep your eyes peeled. For more FCW info you can visit the GH Fan Club site. Other things: I have added six new GH episode stills from January to the gallery, a link to that album can be found below. Screen caps are all up to date. Site Update

I apologize for the lack of updates on the site, I’ve been in and out of the hospital the past few weeks. On top of that I’ve been having computer issues. I hope to have a few updates within the next month, just be patient with me. I’m sure most of you have already noticed but I added eleven new GH episode stills for January to the gallery. I’m slowly getting screencaps back up to date. Right now I’m kind of at the mercy of my computer until I figure out what the heck is wrong with it. That’s about it for now. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and here’s to a great 2009!

New Look!

Well I thought this time I’d go for a completely different look. Hope you guys like it. The gallery looks pretty much the same, just an updated header to match the new main layout. If you guys find any glitches anywhere please let me know so I can get them fixed. I think pretty much everything is good to go. As for everything else (clips, caps, etc…) I’m a wee bit behind. Blame my work schedule. I should just put in for full time since that’s what I’m working. Anyway, long story short everything should be updated this weekend, so look for another post in the near future. Oh, happy news! I FINALLY got all of the 2007 caps done and uploaded…2007 is complete my friends! Now I just have to upload the rest of 2008′s caps and the gallery as we know it will be back to normal.

I did add a new section to the sidebar on the right. There is now a random Carly quotes block that I will update from time to time. You are more than welcome to submit your favorites to be put up on the site. If you’ve got one, drop me an email and I’ll put it up. Have a lovely day!
